If you were to cross Dungeons and Dragons with Animal Crossing, you would have this book – a celebration of found family and new beginnings set in the magical world of Thune.

Legends and Lattes follows Viv, a battle-weary orc who is hanging up her sword for the final time and opening the cities first café. This was always going to be difficult for Viv, with decades of raising hell on the battlefield behind her, but it’s made even harder by the fact no one in Thune has the slightest idea what coffee is.

Along the way Viv recruits a joyous cast of characters who not only help establish the café but provide a sense of companionship and camaraderie that each of them desperately needs. The characters are so real and the emotions so tender, I was beaming from page to page.

This book is the perfect cozy, slice-of-life story that any fantasy reader is sure to adore. I couldn’t recommend it enough!
